How to Love A Shelter Program!
If you have a child age 7 to 10 that loves animals and wants to learn what life is like inside an animal shelter, consider signing them up for this special education class at the Toledo Area Humane Society.
This two-hour program will help teach children about pet responsibility, learn how to make dog treats, play games and participate in a scavenger hunt. Students will make kennel cards for the homeless animals and take a behind the scenes tour of the Toledo Area Humane Society facility. There will also be plenty of time to cuddle with a few of our furry friends.
The single day class is Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and space is limited to 20 participants. The cost for the class is $20.00 and all proceeds benefit the animals of the Toledo Area Humane Society. Advanced registration will help ensure your child a space in the program, but same day registrations will be accepted if there is space available. You can pick up a registration form at the Toledo Area Humane Society, 1920 Indian Wood Circle Maumee, OH 43537 or call us at 419-482-7106.
Nail Trims! Did you know that the Toledo Area Humane Society does animal nail trims every Saturday from 10 a.m. to Noon and every Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Nail trims are $10 per pet and no appointment is neccesary!
